Becker products are employed in rough sea conditions. For this reason, an important property of Becker products is preventing the release of hazardous substances into the marine environment.
For bearings that are in permanent contact with or are often exposed to sea water Becker has moved away from complex sealing systems towards sea water lubrication. This results in:
- No hazardous substances being released
- No disposal of used lubricants
- No failure of safety-relevant rudder system due to permanent lubrication by the surrounding medium
Where sea water is not available or practical for lubrication, environmentally-friendly lubricants are used.
Coating: If the coating is not applied by the yard, Becker offers the latest standards of biocide-free coatings with minimal emission of volatile components during the coating process.
